This intriguing Kambaba Jasper cabochon is set in a fine silver scalloped bezel adorned with 14k gold dots, and has brushed sterling silver backplate with a heart cutout . The shank has a cool twist in the back. This unique, handmade ring is size 8.5.
Kambaba Jasper, also known as Kambaba Stone or Green Stromatolite Jasper, is an extremely old stone dating back to 3 billion years ago. Kambaba Jasper is actually a fossil. This stone is classified as a stromatolite, which refers to the cluster of fossilized algae that created this mineral. One of the special fossils within Kambaba Jasper is actually Cyanobacteria, which is believed to have helped create the first oxygen atmosphere here on Earth billions of years ago. Other minerals within this special combination of stones are usually Quartz, Feldspar, Cristobalite, and Albite.
