Hand-knotted candy style Ethiopian opal necklace was made with lovely, faceted rondelle beads. This opal has dark body and wonderful play of color with a multitude of gorgeous flashes from green to blue, yellow and red. The beads measure approximately 3.75-4mm in diameter and have varying width. Hand strung and knotted on custom dyed rainbow silk thread for durability and strength, this is a beautiful piece to wear alone or layered. The necklace is just under 19 inches long (18.75), finished with a row of five 3mm faceted ruby beads on either side, and a 14/20 gold filled lobster clasp.
Although silk thread is very strong and durable, care should be taken to keep this necklace from being wet as the silk will stretch over time.
