Hand-knotted Ethiopian opal candy style necklace was made with lovely, angular, smooth nugget beads. This premium quality opal has deep blue body; each and every bead having a wonderful play of color with a multitude of gorgeous flashes from green to blue and occasional red. The beads are freeform nuggets. They are graduated and measure approximately 3x4mm to 4x8mm. Hand strung and knotted in the candy style on emerald green silk thread for durability and strength, this is a beautiful piece to wear alone or layered. The necklace is 19.5 inches long, plus a 1.5” gold filled extender chain. It is finished with 14/20 gold filled handmade hook clasp.
Although silk thread is very strong and durable, care should be taken to keep this necklace from being wet as the silk will stretch over time.
