Cosmic Companion Meteorite Nugget Pendant with 22" Silver Moon, Black Spinel and Garnet Chain

All gemstones are fascinating and special. Many come from far-away, remote parts of our planet. This Muonionalusta Meteorite bead, however, is more special than most, and originally came from much farther away. The meteorite was first discovered in Sweden, nearly 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle, in 1906. Later determined to be an iron meteorite, it was thought to have fallen to Earth approximately 800,000 years ago. Other, smaller pieces of the meteorite have been found in the area, spread by the impact or moved through glacial changes.
One of the unique nuggets from the sky is paired with a handmade sterling silver and black spinel moon necklace. Each tiny moon was made by hand and joined with faceted sparkly black spinel beads and wine red garnet accents, finished with a handmade sterling silver hook clasp

The necklace is 22” long, the meteorite measures approximately 0.5" by 0.75"

Care Instructions:
The darkened silver will naturally brighten with wear, creating a custom patina. Avoid exposure to water and harsh chemicals to protect the stones and preserve the finish.
